Tyler Glasnow got way too fired up after this strike-two pitch to Justin Upton.
It’s hard to believe that in the City of Angels you cannot be blessed with a strike-two punchout, no matter how hard you flap your Joseph Gordon-Levitt wings or how epically awesome your flow is. Al and the others are always watching, but sometimes you just gotta win the game by playing along with the rules of baseball. Not even Matthew McConaughey or Adrien Brody can save you.
You are never going to see a better strut two-thirds of the way into a recording a strikeout.
Tampa Bay Rays: Tyler Glasnow forgot how many strikes you need in a strikeout
It is cool, though. We have all forgotten how to count to three before. Again, none of us actually remember doing so because we were all doing that in our pre-reading years before the age of five. If you cannot count to three, how can you even possibly think about being a drummer? You can get by in life behind a drum kit by counting to four. If three is a magic number, how can you forget it?
But you know what, none of that really matters. Glasnow pitched well in Monday night’s start vs. the anonymous Angels that not even George Knox, Roger Bomman or J.P. would watch. Glasnow improved to 4-1 on the year, as he threw six innings of four-hit ball, allowing three earned runs, walking four and striking out eight. He even struck out Upton once to get the Rays back to .500.
So even if you think they are not, the umpires are always watching, just like Al did back in the day.
